Craniosacral Therapy Sessions
Craniosacral Therapy Sessions
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive manual therapy that addresses the rhythms of the fluid surrounding your brain and spinal cord. In our studio, we use CST to help 'unwind' deep-seated patterns of tension, allowing your body to move out of a state of chronic stress and into a state of restorative balance.
While the touch is light—often no more than the weight of a nickel—the impact on the body's internal systems is profound.

1. Regulating the "Fight or Flight" Response Chronic pain or long-term instability often keeps the nervous system in a state of high alert. CST works directly with the dural tube and cerebrospinal fluid to signal to the brain that it is safe to let go of compensatory bracing.
2. Addressing Fascial Restrictions Your fascia is a continuous web of connective tissue that wraps around every muscle and organ. When this tissue becomes restricted due to injury or repetitive strain, it can pull joints out of alignment. CST facilitates a "fascial unwinding" that restores mobility without the need for high-force manipulation.
3. The "Craniosacral" Framework In our sessions, we focus on key "Points of Light"—from the Anchor of the sacrum to the Compass of the cranium. By ensuring these points are in sync, we help your body regain its natural rhythm and sense of center.

Because it is a low-force modality, CST is exceptionally safe for a wide range of individuals, including those with:
Central Nervous System Sensitivity: Reducing the "overwhelm" often associated with chronic pain conditions.
Autonomic Dysregulation: Supporting the vagus nerve and improving the body’s ability to rest and digest.
Chronic Headaches & Jaw Pain: Easing restrictions in the cranial sutures and temporal bones.
Proprioceptive Challenges: Helping you feel more grounded and "present" in your body.

Unlike traditional occupational or physical therapy, a CST session at Conscious Connections is an unhurried experience. You remain fully clothed on a comfortable treatment table in a quiet, supportive environment.
Most clients describe the experience as a state of "deep meditation." It is common to feel subtle pulsations, a sense of warmth, or a profound feeling of relaxation as your system begins to re-organize and find its equilibrium.

When you receive CST from a licensed Occupational Therapist, you are receiving care that is grounded in a deep understanding of human anatomy and functional performance. Jesse integrates these somatic releases into your broader goals—whether that’s returning to work, improving your sleep, or simply moving through the world with more confidence and less pain.

The Intake (20-30 mins): We begin with an unhurried conversation. We discuss your clinical history, your current goals, and how your body feels in the present moment.
Assessment: I will perform a gentle structural and fascial assessment while tuning into the listening stations within the body.
The Session: You will lie comfortably and fully clothed on a treatment table. Using the "Craniosacral" framework, I will move through a series of gentle hand placements from the sacru to the sacrum to identify and release restrictions.
Integration: We conclude with a brief period of rest to allow your system to integrate the changes. We will then discuss a personalized plan for your continued stability and ease.
